Are you sure that grammar is not important in speaking?

so, how can you understand these examples?:

1. Ow, I forgot my textbook.

2. Ow, I forget my textbook.

The two sentences are different in meaning.

(but, I like the write-down-the-phrase thing... that's a good idea...) Yb

I totally agree with you, apart from some facts I doubted. All I think about when I'm learning English is Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing.
One more important fact I'd like to help you guys out with, is that English is not our first language, so don't ever be afraid or nervous when using English.

I'm guessing he didn't mean that grammar is not important, and that there is no need of studying it. I think he meant that it's no use of studying grammar too deeply, since the write-down-the-phrase thing will improve both your Grammar and Vocabulary. This is an experience I've had and it works great!

Ah yes, the elementary level. Kids of their age would think, "What's the use of English?". Well, teach them by having fun with English. All I can assist you about is to motivate the students, that's how I got into English. I apologize if I'm wrong about my opinions, these are mine, you decide yours.

Don't forget games.. Also Factors such as the child's age, learning style, interests and personality affect the English language acquisition process. However, many English language-learners follow a similar process of language development, and this can help educators develop ideal techniques for English language instruction

I'd say the easiest way to learn english is to go to an english-speaking environment. You'd be fluent in no time \)
