Both are correct, imho

1. Hey dude, (many) thanks!
2. Hey dude, (I) thank you!

Really nice shareing shakehand2
but i'm confused.
If "Thank God" is the only one is right based on that (omitting "I"), so whn we must use thanks. Because in daily life, I usually listen people prefer to say "thanks".
Is that mean everyone says "I thanks you".
May be thanks God is just a simple form ....@kenkakashi... I agree with your opinion

"Thank" in "Thank God" is verb.
"Thanks" in daily gratitude expression is countable nouns. ("s" at the end is to indicate plurality)
"Thanks" in "She thanks God" is verb.
"I thanks you" is blatantly incorrect, you only add "s"/"es" at the end of a simple present tense verb if the subject is singular 3rd-person (he/she/it).

According to my opinion, when we say "thanks, God", we are in the middle of communication with God as in a prayer.

We also say, "thanks, man!", "Thanks, Dude!", etc.

So, I think we can say "Thanks, God, for all Your blessings in the past few years.."

However, usually someone will say "Thank God" as an expression or exclamation to express gratitude (or perhaps equivalent with the exclamation "alhamdulilah" in Indonesia).

For example we say "Thank God, the train hasn't left yet..." as an expression of relief, but not necessarily as a prayer or something..

i know that for grammar nazi, grammar is every thing ..
but i think in every conversation, everyone's understanding is more valuable than grammar .. as long as every body understands in what they talk about, i think it's fine ..
