What do you mean, getting involved in a debate? I think we'll encounter more pressure in a debate compared to having a conversation in groups.. but that could also a nice idea.

i think when you want to improve your english skill, especially in conversation and grammar, you should have to made a purpose by yourself. english course or looking for native is a few option, but it would't influence anything if you don't practice your english regulary. that's once of my experience to learn english and I get nothing. So the way to improve your english is find some friend and make a dialogue in english often..

Yes, I perfectly agree... that's the idea of this thread. Making friends who have the same interest so we can at least speak to each other in English since having a real face to face conversation group is quite imprecise.

Never give up, do it twice, three or even four times till finally you understand, but of course it will take time which probably unavailable for you. But there's nothing wrong with trying to be better, right?

Well, working overseas really improved my english, especially having many conversations with distinguish americans..
First time I arrived in JFK Airport, eventhough LIA Advanced graduated, TOEFL 575 , still ain't worth sh*t. Bad pronounciation. But, time after time, my english is getting better, after 3 years working, there're many words that I don't know.

Talking to black american nosara is even harder..Damn, super fast english, many slangs.

BEST way is find overseas job with multinational company.
