For question1&2:
If you take the test on November 26th 2011, your fastest online result is available on December 5th (after 10 days excluded Friday-Sat-Sun).
The official hardcopy of your TOEFL result will be sent 25 -30 days after the on line version (around January 5th). However, this sounds impossible since the US region is having Christmas Holiday for a week starting from Dec 24th until the end of Jan.
So, my prediction is... The hardcopy score is arriving on the second week of Jan 2012
*Note: If you sent the hardcopy to some institutions in US, it will just take 1 week after the on line version.

For question No.3
I am not quite familiar with the GRE. Just have few knowledge about it. Hope the others are able to assist you

well practice DOES make perfect... but i've tried my best, i couldnt pass my last score (it was 550).. no matter how hard i try, i always fail :sorry

There are two options if you face this situation:

1. You haven't actually pushed yourself over the limit of your English
2. You are in need of finding the right TOEFL instructor who are able to show you the ways to think about the problems 'outside the box'


*550 isn't too bad if you are non-native English speaker

Some useful Tips for IELTS Writing Task 1:

Tips 1:
Start with a sentence telling the reader what we are going to explain such as: The graph shows global water use by sector during the last a century; while the table depicts water consumption in Brazil and Congo in the year 2000.

Tips 2:
Define any information you can understand from the figure, chart, table, or anything given there. Avoid mentioning additional reasons, causes, or any personal thoughts that often we think will give bonus points.

Tips 3:
The examiner will cut down your points if do so. Just explain what we can read. For example, the graph tells us that the largest water consumption is for agricultural use for the last a hundred years. It keeps raising as the years go by, while water for industrial and domestic use generally minimum until in 1950s, when the uses steadily increase with time. Do not mention some reasons why agriculture consume more water or why the water consumption for industrial and domestic uses are less. Another thing is, in the IELTS preparation, we will be trained to use adverbs to describe how far is the changes in charts or whatsoever, like dramatically, slowly, sharply, etc. It is very useful to give accurate description of some information.

Tips 4:
Avoid using the same words (repetition) to describe the information. People may tend to use the same-boring words to explain the graph, for example the consumption on agriculture rises over the years, and the domestic use also rises. It is better to say, water consumption for agriculture purpose keeps raising for the past a century, while industrial and domestic use of water only show a steep increase after 1950s. See? Use ‘raise’ and ‘increase’.
