well off course, grammar first.
if you don't understand the grammar, you couldn't master it well \)
ikankoki - 30/08/2011 08:47 AM

Both are important. But I recommend grammar first.. \) (ask) the best way learning english, grammar first or vocab?

one thing..............just practice, don't be down if u meet someone who can speak english well. He or she also learn english from beginner

I'm sorry because of my bad english
misterplan - 30/08/2011 11:23 PM

it is ok if you ignore the grammar in your conversation, especially in daily conversation..but,in formal situation, let's say when you're giving a speech, you have to use a proper grammar.
Skate4Cancer - 31/08/2011 05:58 PM

i think english so hard if u not interst with that because something.

scoutjunior - 02/09/2011 12:51 AM

From my mind, first you must learn to speaking ! You must can to speaking english to the other people beside you !

Don't be afraid,it's fine if your grammar is wrong, you can learn it again in your books.

Because the basic of english, maybe all language in the world is speak

So,improve your speak skills,if you want to can learn english well ! D

Definitely Vocabs.

Grammar can be learned on the fly, just watch plenty of hollywood movies or brits. Your brain should be more than adequate to process the grammar pattern just from movies or songs.

The usual mistake that Indonesians would make using this approach, Indonesian English; using Indonesian grammar with English vocabulary.

Vocab first i think
Grammar follows
Wahyoe.Mamenz - 18/09/2011 04:04 PM

according to me, it depends on the situation gan,
in real condition, we don't need grammar in speaking activity, we need much vocab. Why? cz in speaking we can explain our words with our expression, in order to someone can more understand what we talk about, Vocab is most important in speaking activity, but if U want to write, of course, U really need grammar, cz in writing activity U can't explain all ur words with ur expression,,
My advice to study english, read a lot, so U can have much vocab, n about grammar, don't forget to study it but it is not Ur focus.. :-)

hi all
I have a question , n sometimes make me confused
I have learned english almost three years,
I Have problem with grammar,
because, when I do conversation with grammar,
that make me blank :O
every word's in my mind will be lost when I wanna speak
when I speak with ignored grammar, I can speak fastly.

an as far as I know,
the point of conversation is, I can understand and she/he can understand what we are talking about

what the best method for learning grammar friend's ??
I have bad grammar D
because grammar is important too for toefl test and etc.

please help me iloveindonesia iloveindonesia iloveindonesia

if i were you,i would trained my vocab first rather than grammar. Because when you've trained your vocab and practice everyday with your friend, automatically you've learned grammar too! you know why? 'cause both of those cannot be separated \) they're connected each other \) but if you just practice your grammar skill rather than practicing your vocab,i doubt that your vocab will be smooth as water \) CMIIW

i think you can learn more about grammar and get the vocabularies at the same time. i mean.. you can not focus only on vocabs by reading dictionary or something but you can improve your vocabularies by english movies, songs, articles, etc.

it is not an option which you can take one only but you must improve your grammar and your vocabularies at the same time.

kamirasin - 07/10/2011 08:45 PM

i think, first you should learn BASIC vocab...and the you learm basic grammar but you still have to learn vocab....an so on
